Assessment of Waterlogging Hazard on Old-style residences in Shanghai Based on Scenario Simulation

  The waterlogging is one of the most serious hazards in Shanghai.The method of scenario simulation was applied to assess the waterlogging hazard on old-style residences in the central urban districts of Shanghai.Two scenarios of rainstorms of 20-year and 50-year regression cycles were simulated by the rainstorm simulation model in Shanghai Flood Risk Information Center and a hazard assessment model was built to compare the disaster situation among different regions in order to help improve waterlogging management.The result reveals Hongkou District faces the most serious waterlogging situation and the hazard in Huangpu District is correlated to the rainstorm intensity.
