Alveolar osteitis (AO) is the most common complication following extraction or surgical removal of tooth[1].The purpose of this study was to create apolymeric double-material formulation as an effective drug delivery system for an anesthetic and anti-inflammatory agent containing scaffoldbased on cross-linked microerystalline chitosan (MCCh).MCCh constitutes the inner part of the delivery system which is covered with the membrane formed by crossed-linked sodium alginate hydrogel or hyaluronate sodium hydrogel.
