Background Myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity-H202-Cl-system is involved in oxidative stress,and oxidative stress plays a critical role in the development of atherosclerotic coronary disease and hypertension.The relationship between the MPO activity-H2O2-Cl-system and the atherosclerotic coronary artery branches (ACAB) in patients with unstable angina pectoris (UAP) and hypertension remains elusive.
