DNA double strand break is one of the most detrimental DNA damages, which must be repaired for the maintenance of genomic stability.Damage recognition by the Mre11-Rad50-Nbs1 complex is the earliest essential event for DSB repair process.In the talk, I will present a new model by which the complex recognizes DNA damage and resect to initiate the homologous recombination repair using integrative approaches.
