This paper presents a new method to immobilize sand in laboratory channels. The motivation for the present work was to develop a method that would: 1-not involve the use of harsh chemicals;and 2-ensure that the granular roughness of the original bed would not be appreciably changed.

Sand trapping tube is usually used in head work of water diversion project with the low cost and high efficiency to remove bed sediment.
A numerical model was developed that can simulate gate openings of weirs as well as the unsteady flow in a river reach. It is a multiply-connected network model based on the Preissmanns four-point sche
The amount and spatial distribution of bed load particles contribute significantly to riverbed changes. Therefore, the prediction of bed load transport rate is an important aspect of river planning.

Starting with the 1980s, the riverine monitoring community experienced a fast-paced growth of acoustic instruments for measurement of velocity and depth in a wide range of river environments.Among the

During extreme floods, a large quantity of floating debris can be produced due to erosion, drifting with the flood water and eventually accumulating upstream of the dam.
This research aims to provide new knowledge about the inception of motion in rivers with coarse sediments and, possibly, macro-roughness flow regime, for which, so far, civil and environmental enginee
The circulation of water in riverine mangrove swamps is expected to be influenced by mangrove roots, which in tum affect the nutrients, pollutants and sediments transport in these systems.
