[Objective]The present experiment was to investigate whether effect of recloning procedure on reproductive performance of transgenic recloned pigs, and to lay the foundation for developing elite transgenic breed of pigs for future.[Method]Transgenic recloned pigs were produced from ear tissue fibroblast cell lines of primary transgenic cloned pig born for day 7,and reproductive performance and exogenous gene transmission of transgenic recloned pigs were further analysed.[Result]Two different genetic background transgenic cell lines expressing stably gfp were established successfully and transgenic recloned embryos can develop to full-term.One female piglet of Chinese experimental miniature pig (namely CEMP) and three male piglets of landrace were naturally delivered and all recloned piglets were positive for gfp.Furthermore, reproductive characteristics such as puberty, gestation period, sperm volumn and sperm concentration in transgenic recloned pigs were similar to those of conventionally bred pigs.In addition,53% F1generation offspring of transgenic recloned pigs were positive for gfp.[Conclusion] The results suggest that ear tissue fibroblast cell from primary transgenic cloned pigs can efficiently support the full-term development of transgenic recloned embryos. And transgenic recloned pigs can keep normal reproductive performance and stable genetic transmission potential.
