It is not beyond my expectation that the conclusion I have drawn from the book The Origin of Constitutional Government in Britain is not universally accepted. In that book, I think the very principle that made the constitutional constitution of England distinctive and endowed British constitutionalism a unique position in the history of the world was derived from the principle of a limited monarchy derived directly from the principles and implementation of the “Great Charter” in the United Kingdom.
