  Three new porphyrin nanotubes are designed to mimic the carbon nanotube structure.The bottom-up synthesis of these nanotubes starts from the functionalized porphyrin monomer precursors.Porphyrin nanorings were built from these precursors via platinum-mediated porphyrin nanorings synthesis method.
