Messenger RNA (mRNA) degradation is one of the critical factors determining mRNA abundance and enabling rapid adjustment of gene expression in response to environmental stress.The involvement of processing bodies (PBs) in stress response suggests a role for decapping-mediated mRNA degradation.However, little is known about it under stress condition.
