Al-Mg alloys are considered to have potentials to form twins during deformation because Mg has the influence of reducing the intrinsic stacking fault energy ISFE of aluminium.Nevertheless, twinning has rarely been found in Al-Mg alloys even subjected to various severe plastic deformation (SPD) techniques, including Equal Channel Angular Pressing (ECAP), Dynamic Plastic Deformation (DPD), High-Pressure Torsion (HPT) etc.
