　　据美国NASA最新报告,目前在轨空间碎片中,大于5厘米的有29,000件,小于5厘米的则超过50万件。悲观的估计是数年后,有限的地球低空轨道将无法使用。为了从源头上消除空间碎片的产生,联合国已开展清除空间碎片的国际协商,在不远的将来所有发射入轨的末级火箭、航天器等须携带离轨装置才允许发射,具备清理自身碎片的能力,在完成任务后实现快速、自动离轨。
