  Using high-purity Y2O3 powder as starting material,Y2O3 transparent ceramics were synthesized at 1780℃ for 20 h by a solid-state reactive technique.To obtain high-optical grade Y2O3 ceramics,tetraethoxysilane(TEOS),MgO and Lanthana(La2O3)were introduced as sintering aids,as well as the mechanism of sinterability of three different kinds of sintering aids were analyzed in detail.
