The inkjet printing technique has been proved to be an effective method to generate picoliter multicomponent droplet-in-oil arrays[1].To understand the key parameters that influence the successful encapsulation of water droplets,a combined numerical and experimental study has been performed.We focus on the effect of impact velocity of water droplet,oil viscosity,and the relationship of surface tensions of the three kinds of interfaces.
