Post-translational modifications are involved in various cellular processes through altering properties of target proteins.While protein sumoylation being cross-regulated by other modifications such as phosphorylation,ubiquitination and acetylation have been reported, very little is known about the molecular mechanisms of SUMO conjugation and binding modulated by acetylation.
