There have two main sets of coal-measure source rocks in the Qiangtang Basin,which are Tumengela Formation in Triassic and Nayixiong Formation in Permian.Through field investigation and laboratory integrated research shows that the organic carbon content of Nayixiong Formation source rocks are 0.61 ％to 1.28 ％with an average 0.87 ％;the organic carbon content of Tumengla Formation are 0.63 ％to 1.50 ％with an average 1.02 ％,and they reached the middle - good source rocks level.
