As a renewable and clean new energy, fuel cell has a broad application prospect [1-3].However,the biggest problem of fuel cells is that the performance of electrode catalysts needs to be improved [4-6].Platinum as an excellent electrocatalyst has always been the preferred electrocatalyst in fuel cells.while Platinum is an excellent electrocatalyst,it has the disadvantage of being an electrocatalyst due to its low soil abundance, high price, and poor stability, which are prone to surface poisoning [7,8].Reducing the use of platinum or finding suitable electrocatalysts to replace platinum remains a challenge [9,10].Thus,we report the preparation of catalysts with different ratios of PtNi/C,AuNi/C and PtAuNi/C by chemical reduction method and chemical replacement method at room temperature. The as-prepared catalysts were characterized by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS),X-ray diffraction(XRD),transmission electron microscope(TEM),high resolution transmission electron microscope(HRTEM),high-angle annular dark-field scanning TEM(HAADF-STEM)and STEM energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(STEM-EDS)elemental mapping and line-scanning,scanning electronic microscopy(SEM)and SEM energy dispersive Xray spectroscopy(SEM-EDS),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).It is proved that Au has been successfully loaded,Mainly in the form of Au(0).Pt elements mainly exist in the forms of Pt(0)and Pt2+on the catalyst surface. It is highly dispersed in Ni(OH)2 nanoparticles, and the size is relatively small or amorphous. In addition,PtAu alloy is formed after roasting. The electrocatalytic performance of the catalysts were evaluated by formic acid oxidation, and the effect of calcination on the performance of the catalyst was also investigated, the specific test results are shown in figure 2.Based on the analysis of formic acid oxidation results and the ratio of the first peak to the second peak, the formic acid oxidation effect of the roasted PtAuNi/C and PtNi/C and the unroasted PtAuNi/C was better than that of the 20%commercial Pt/C.The roasted PtAuNi/C and PtNi/C are more inclined to directly generate CO2,reducing the formation of CO which indicating that the catalyst had better anti-toxicity effect that is desirable for fuel cell applications. The PtNi/C roasted at 400 ℃ significantly improved the activity of formic acid system compared with that of unroasted PtNi/C.The active area of calcined PtNi/C was about three times higher than that of commercial Pt/C by cyclic Voltammetric method(Figure 2).The I-t test shows that PtNi/C has longer life and better stability than commercial Pt/C(Figure 3).The research of the above multicomponent metal supported catalysts provides an idea for finding a better new type of fuel cell catalyst.
