Ion channels are critical for the normal physiological function of the organism.The functional abnormality of the ion channels may cause many disorders named channelopathy.Meanwhile,ion channels are one of the few proteins that can be efficiently regulated by small molecule drugs,so they are ideal candidates for drug targets.As we know,there are few reports on the application of pattern recognition method that is used for analyzing the dataset of the gene expression profile related to ion channels and transmembrane proteins at present.Upon these viewpoints,it is known that research on ion channels will bring great scientific and practical value.Here,we proposed a novel ensemble decision tree approach,which is based on mining genes that are encoding the ion channels and transmembrane proteins.
