Cinnamyl alcohol(CNOL)is mainly derived from the hydrogenation of cinnamaldehyde(CNA),and is widely used reactant for the production of perfumes in fine chemical. It is known that C=C are thermodynamically more favorable to be reduced than C=O in CNA.Catalyst with high selectivity for CNOL in the hydrogenation process therefore is highly desired. It has been reported that the catalytic behavior is heavily dependent on the nature, morphology, size, etc.of the catalytic active component, support and promoter.Magnetic particles with differenty were used to study support effects for copper-based catalyst.
