A chaotic system shows complicated behavior in the time domain and possesses a broad spectrum in the frequency domain.Furthermore,due to the intrinsic local instability of such systems,long-term prediction is impossible in practice.These features make chaotic systems attractive in communication applications,especially when privacy is of importance.Various chaos communication schemes have been proposed in the literature:chaotic masking,chaotic modulation,claotic encryption and others.These schemes exploit different characteristics of a chaotic system to.achieve wideband and secure communications.Most of the chaos-based secure communication schemes are based on complete synchronization of chaotic systems at the transmitter and the receiver ends.The transmitted analog chaotic signals are generally used as the key stream,as well as driving signals to realize chaos synchronization.Such a configuration suffers from two problems in practice.
