Aim: Integrins are transmembrane receptors composed of α and β subunits, which mediate cell-extracellular matrix adhesions.Regulation of integrin activity is fundamentally important during many physiological processes. The aim of this article is to investigate the role of Endophilin A2 in integrin β1 activation and its mechanism.Methodes and Results:FACS analysis of cells stained for surface levels of active or inactive integrin β1 showed that knockdown Endophilin A2 enhanced integrin β1 activation (p<0.01, vs control siRNA,n=6).
