Mycoplasma pneumoniae is a common pathogen in children and adolescents with community-acquired respiratory tract infections, were sensitive to Macrolides, Tetracyclines, Aminoglycosides, Fluoroquinolones.In children macrolide antibiotics was the first choice to treat M.pneumoniae infections.However, strains with acquired resistance to macrolides have recently emerged worldwide in Europe, USA and Asia especially.
