Graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4), known as an metal-free photocatalyst[1], has attracted increasing attention because of its simple preparation and stable photocatalytic activity.Besides, the utilization ratio of the sunlight is greatly raised due to its visible-light response (a narrow bandgap of 2.7eV) and particular 2D layer structure.However, it still remained to be a great challenge for g-C3N4 to meet the requirements in dye degradation resulted from its rapid recombination of photo-generated carriers and low quantum efficiency.Therefore, much work was performed to improve the photocatalytic activity of g-C3N4, such as doping elements [2], coupling with other semiconductors [3], modified with metal-free materials [4], and morphology control [5].
