The transition of plants soft wheat from vegetative development to generative is determined by several systems genes: system VRN genes, which control the need for vernalization and determine the type of development (spring or winter) and system PPD genes, which determine the sensitivity or insensitivity to photoperiod. The results of modern molecular genetic studies have shown that genes VRN (three to five loci) in soft wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) are interconnected with each other and can be expressed or repressed under the influence of the photoperiodic signal. The purpose of this study was to investigate genetic determination of the content and distribution of nitrogen compounds in organs of the main shoot in the photoperiodic induction of short day (9 hours) in isogenic VRN lines soft wheat. The objects of study were near isogonics of genes VRN monogenic dominative lines (Nils) of soft wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) of two cultivars-tall Mironovskaya 808 and short Olviya.Plants were grown in the experimental station of the Department of Physiology and Biochemistry of Kharkov Karazin National University.
