Autophagy is a fundamental process that breaks down intracellular structures in all eukaryotic organisms and requires a series of autophagy-related proteins (ATGs).In particular, Atg8 binds and delivers cytoplasmic materials to autolysosomes/vacuoles, and is recycled for autophagosome biogenesis.Little is known about the mechanism underlying the Atg8 retrograde trafficking from the vacuole.
