Recently,we have shown that the ground state potential energy curves of Ba2,Mg2,Ca2,and Sr2 [1-4] can be described by TT model that proposed by Tang and Toeunies for the van der Waals potential based on universal damping functions for the dispersion coefficients [5].Based on the facts that the potential energy curves of those dimers (group ⅡA metal),except Be2,are conformal (that is,these potentials have a common shape described by a single fanction U (x) and each potential is given by V (R) =DeU (R/Re) where De and Re are the potential well depth and the equilibrium distance of the particular dimer) [1],a set of simple combining rules are proposed for the parameters of the reduced potentials of the hetero-nuclear dimers.
