The purpose of this symposium is to give the participant a better sense of why suicide prevention in the workplace makes sense and some models of how it could be done.The program will begin with an overview of the reasons why the workplace is a critical part of a comprehensive approach to suicide prevention and how targeting this system holds great promise to relieve the burden of suicide among many countries.Then an evidence-based model adapted from the U.S.Air Force will be presented.Following these introduction three presentations will share different examples of workplace suicide prevention and postvention efforts.Following the presentation, the participants will have time to ask questions and discuss topics brought up by the panellists.
