Both descriptive and predictive capabilities of two phenomenological (JC and KHL) and five physically based constitutive models (PB, NNL, ZA, VA, and RK(MRK)) are investigated and compared systematically, in characterizing thermomechanical behavior of pure copper, 603 steel[1,2], and 93W-4.9Ni-2.1Fe[3], respectively.Flow stress of the materials were tested in uniaxial compression at temperatures ranging from 173 K to 873 K, and strain rates ranging from 0.001 s-1 to 4500 s-1.Hopkinson pressure bar technique, respectively.
