Background Heart failure is the end-stage of various heart diseases.To have a better understand the mechanisms of heart failure,the pressure overload model in rats was built by abdominal transverse aortic constriction (TAC).Methods We utilized pressure-volume (PV) loop analyses and electrocardiogram to detect the difference in TAC group and sham operation (SH) group 10 weeks after TAC operation,and body and organ weights in animals also were measured.
