Ambient sampling/ionization mass spectrometry (ambient MS), characterized by rapid detection capacity without the sample preparation or with little sample pretreatment, has been introduced1 and developed rapidly during the past decade.Desorption corona beam ionization (DCBI) as a newly proposed ambient MS technique has been successfully applied for analysis of pesticides, veterinary additives, explosive materials and some OTC drugs2,3 Profited from free sample manipulation and free organic solvent, DCBI was employed in this report to rapid identify the flavonoid aglycones in raw root of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi (S.baicalensis).
