Intramuscular fat content is one of the important factors influencing pork meat quality.Jinhua pig,one of Chinese local pig breeds with excellent meat quality,shows higher intramuscular fat and redder pork color compared with Landrace,a commercial Danish breed.Based on the differences in intramuscular fat content,the global gene expression profiles in the longissimus dorsi muscle in Jinhua and Landrace pigs were analyzed by microarray.
