Transposable elements (TEs) are important resources to create genetic variation in the eukaryotic genomes.Several studies have demonstrated that TEs are associated with the adaptation of the hosts to the new environment.Domestic species are also influenced by the changeable environment and human need. However, there are still limited studies of TEs contributed to the adaptive evolution of the domestic species, especially for the domestic silkworm (Bombyx mori).
