  群体感应(quorum sensing,QS)是微生物通过分泌、释放一种被称为自体诱导剂(AI-2)的信号分子,并感知其浓度变化,来检测菌群密度、调控菌群生理功能,从而适应周围环境的一种信号交流机制。当信号分子的浓度达到一定阈值时,进入细菌内部,调控某些特定基因的表达,发生如共生现象、生物发光、孢子形成、毒性基因的表达、Ti质粒的接合转移、色素产生、生物膜的形成和细菌群体移动性等生物现象,这其中很多因素都将会导致细菌产生耐药性。
