To verify the relationship between absorption and allocation of silicon and bloom formation on fruit surface of cucumber (Cucumis sativus), two rootstock cultivars Yunnan figleaf gourd and Huangchengen No.2 were used to graft cucumber cultivar Xintai mici.Effects of silicon supply and rootstocks on silicon absorption and bloom formation were investigated. The results showed that: less bloom was found on fruit surface of cucumber grafted on Huangchengen No.2, regardless of silicon supply.
