  Nowadays, industrial fermentation technologies with nonsugar substrates have attracted more attention for their advantage in reducing production cost and environmental pressure.During our previous research, a methylotrophic strain was successfully isolated from Huangyan Sewage Treatment Plant and identified as Methylobacterium sp.XJLW, which can use methanol or formaldehyde as sole carbon and energy source, indicating it may have development potential for useful metabolites production with high value.
