We have been exploiting inherent tumor properties in the delivery of anticancer therapeutic materials and aimed specifically at acidosis and vascular leakiness for the development of versatile environmentally responsive polymeric carriers.Successful design of a pH responsive polyelectrolytebased nanocarrier has been achieved with tuned pH response based on its constituents.Physicochemical properties of the carriers are optimized to minimize cellular interactions until a tumor acidosis environment protonates the carrier,reverses ζ-potential enhancing cellular interaction and endocytosis.
