RNA inference (RNAi) technology achieved good results in hepatitis B virus (HBV) treatment in vitro. But there are challenges for long-term suppression of HBV replication. In the present study,we designed a series of recombination HBVs (rHBVs) that express no viral protein and contain certain sequence deletions substituted by a short hairpin RNA (shRNA)-expression cassette targeting the deleted sequence for HBV suppression.

Background: Augmentation of androgen/androgen receptor (AR) pathway may influence chronic hepatitis B (CHB) more likely in males.AR activity is modulated by a polymorphic CAG repeat sequence in AR exo
Backgrounds and Objectives Accurate prediction of the sustained virological response (SVR) of antiviral therapy against chronic hepatitis B (CHB) is still a key problem needing profound investigation.

Aim The reason why the majority of chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients do not respond to conventional interferon α (IFNα) or pegylated interferon (Peg-IFN) treatment has not been formally demonstrated.
