Chronic osteomyelitis is caused by Staphylococcus aureus(S.aureus),and the predominant therapies are surgery and the local placement of antibiotic.Our previous studies have demonstrated VCM-loaded TMC nanoparticles(VCM/TMC NPs)was a potential drug delivery system in chronic osteomyelitis treatment,due to its high intracellular penetration and potential for effective intracellular antibacterial activity.
