Size-quantized semiconductor nanoparficles, such as CdSe, CdTe or PbS, have attracted much attention for the applications of light energy conversion systems, because their light-harvesting properties and tunable electronic energy structure depended on their size and the multiple exciton generation was expected to easily occur in the nanoparticles with a single photon excitation.
