　　Magnolol and honokiol are both bioactive components in traditional Chinese medicines(TCMs) such as Magnolia officinali.They have been applied in the treatment of indigestion and gastrectasia.In this paper, liquid phase microextraction with back extraction(LPME/BE) combined with HPLC-UV was investigated for the extraction and determination of magnolol and honokiol in Magnolia officinalis and its two pharmaceutical preparations, which were Huo xiang zheng qi shui and Xiang sha yang wei wan.
