The gelatin-based basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF)-impregnated microspheres were prepared by emulsification and cold-condensation while glutaraldehyde was used as crosslinker.Scanning electronic microscope (SEM) and laser nano-granulometer were applied to analyze the characters of these particles.Meanwhile,the experiments of acute oral toxicity and proliferation of cells were carried out.The feasibility of introducing drug sustained-release microsphere system to the field of tissue engineering was discussed,which would establish the foundation for the application of combination use of gelatin/collagen-based wound-rehabilitation membranes as well as the preparation for further study of tissue engineering skin with inducement and regeneration function.
