In order to understand the effects of genetic diversity of wheat varieties on the population struction of Puccinia striiformis f.sp.tritici in the fields,genomic DNA were extracted directly from infected wheat leaves,and race-specific-markers were used to analyse the population structure of strains collected from mixture-planting and mono-planting fields.
