From the difference of dominant discourse models between the English opera and the northern Zhuang opera, the difference of discourse models between the English opera and the northern Zhuang opera is discussed: the English opera is a beautiful art of singing without spoken parts while the northern Zhuang opera has both singing and spoken parts; the English opera is mainly a prose style while the northern Zhuang opera cares about rhythm; the English opera mainly focuses on a conversational mood while the northern Zhuang opera an indicative mood.The paper deeply analyzes the influence on discourse models of the northern Zhuang opera and the English opera by cultural differences from the aesthetic psychology and appreciative custom of audience, the esthetic view of art, and dialogue and conflict.
