[Objective] Through investigating fermentation conditions for Scutellariae Radix by Lactobacillus amylolyticus, which establish the system of lactic acid bacteria fermentation of Scutellaria. And to evaluate the anti-acne efficacy of the fermentation quality, researching new type of fermentation quality that can be used for cosmetics.[Method] Single factor test was used to adjust the fermentation time, inoculation amount and the content of Scutellariae Radix with lactic acid bacteria concentration and pH in the fermentation broth as index.Besides, fermentation conditions were optimized through establishing regression equation by Box-Benhnken central composite experimental design.By test methods for antimicrobial properties of soluble(anti-)bacteria products, studying the fermentation quality antibacterial action of Staphylococcus aureus,Propionibacterium acnes,Pseudomonas aeruginosa,Escherichia coli,Candida albicans, dry stems Microsporum.[Result](1)From single factor experiment to Box-Benhnken central composite test, the results showed that the optimum conditions were as follows: fermentation time 24h,2.5 g·ml-1 of Scutellaria Radix and 10%inoculation amount of lactic acid bacteria.Under the fermentation conditions, the concentration of bacteria in the fermentation broth reached the maximum, and the pH value was the lowest.(2)The inhibition rates of different bacteria were as follows : Pseudomonas aeruginosa 97.8%,Escherichia coli 99.0%,Candida albicans 92.1%,Staphylococcus aureus 98.4%,dry stems Microsporum 58.3%,Bacillus acne 61.1%.[ Conclusion ] Getting the optimal fermentation parameters of Scutellariae Radix by Lactobacillus amylolyticus, establish the system of lactic acid bacteria fermentation of Scutellaria.Evaluation on the anti-acne efficacy of fermentation quality for Scutellariae Radix by Lactobacillus amylolyticus showed it can effectively prevent and inhibit acne produced.
