Carbon materials have been widely used as high performance electrode for energy devices, and they can also be introduced into the noncarbon electrode system (metal oxide, Si, etc.) to form a continuous conductivity network, restrict the volume variation and optimize the electrolyte-active materials interface.Thus, carbon shows its importance in novel energy storage devices not only as high performance electrodes, but also, more importantly, as "CARBON" components for fast-developing "NON-CARBON" electrodes.
