　　A novel real time monitoring technique termed as gas purge microsyfinge extraction (GP-MSE) has been developed for simultaneous direct gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis of volatile compounds from plant under natural conditions and the volatile compounds have been seen as the chemical information transfer between plants or plant and insect.Real-time monitoring of emission of volatile compounds from uninjured and injured plant was carried out and the change of composition and content of volatile compounds were analyzed.
