As the native high-altitude populations,Tibetan show heritable adaptations to extreme altitude,Genomic analysis of Tibetans has revealed several candidate loci for involvement in high-altitude adaptation which playing a role in physiological adaptation,a subset of which have also been shown to be associated with hemoglobin levels.Genetic differences in the EPAS1 and EGLN1 genes have been found one of key factors which contributes mostly to this high altitude adaptation.Recently, there were some important research works reported the universality of difference in EPAS1 and EGLN1 between Tibetan and Han population, which ensures the Tibetans adaptation on high altitude and gives the possibility of national characteristics identification between Tibetan and Han population for forensic researchers.
