SCC growth measurement were performed both in high temperature water and gas environments in the range of temperature between 450 to 320℃ using CW TT690 and CW Carbon steel.First of all,same fracture morphology(intergranular cracking)was observed on both materials regardless different environments.Cavity was observed in both materials at grain boundaries ahead of crack tips and crack flank as the second common features after testing.Based on the observation and detailed analysis by FE-SEM,TEM,and AES,the role of cavity formation on IGSCC and IG creep cracking both of CW carbon steel and CW TT690 were discussed including the effect of super abundant vacancies introduced during test in water.In the same time,common and different role of cavity formation on materials were also discussed based on the behaviors of CW TT690 and CW carbon steel.
