Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) is a collective term that designates a group of positional and geometrical isomers of linoleic acid (9cis,12cis 18∶2) with two conjugated double bonds.Many studies are carried out on synthetic CLA (mainly 9cis,lltrans and 10trans,12cis 18∶2) because of its numerous beneficial properties suggested for human health including anticarcinogenic,antiatherogenic,antiadipogenic and antidiabetogenic properties.
