Advances in molecular biology, especially genetic technology relating to sequencing, will in the future alter the practice of reproductive medicine at every step. The result will be more timely intervention, more targeted care, and improved ART pregnancy rates.1) Ability to sequence a given candidate gene or region willincreasingly allow identification of women destined to deliver a reproductive problem.Whole genome sequencing is now available and relatively cheap.Women having perturbation of a gene known to cause premature ovarian failure (POF) will be encouraged to attempt pregnancy at an earlier age or have oocyte cryopreservation.
