Objective To understand the HIV status of unpaid blood donors in blood centers of Fujian Province and to make better prevention and control strategies to further ensure the safety of clinical blood use. Methods A total of 749 834 volunteers blood donors in Fujian Blood Center from 2002 to 2013 were routinely tested for HIV. The prevalence, trend and blood donation history of 95 blood donors who were positive for HIV antibody were investigated analysis. Results The HIV-positive rate of blood donors in Fujian Blood Center from 2002 to 2013 showed that the positive rate of HIV antibody positive rate increased from 1 to 10 000 in 2010 and 2.76 in 2012 and 2.75 in 2012 ; The proportion of HIV-infected persons was mainly male, accounting for 88.4%; the age distribution of 18-30 years old was 64.2%; the ratio of primary blood donors to secondary blood donors was 2:1, the proportion of first-time donors was 61.1% The proportion was 38.9%; from the possible route of transmission or sexual transmission, the ratio was 84.2%, the proportion of same-sex transmission and heterosexual transmission was 1: 2; the ratio of local and foreign provinces was 2: 1; blood donation The location of fixed-street blood-based, the ratio was 87.4%. Conclusions HIV prevalence among blood donors in blood centers in Fujian Province is basically the same as HIV prevalence in blood donors in China. HIV-infected persons are predominantly male and donors under 30 years old. Sexual transmission is the main route of blood-borne HIV infection , The number of re-infected blood donors have a trend of increasing year by year.
